What's the meaning of the 54-18-62%, is it the share of streaming? Btw, I'm quite safe that this figure for Thriller excludes Th25!

Those percentages represent the share of sales coming from streaming and digital platforms.

I am pretty sure a 9Pl update is overdue by now.

I think it is still short - the market really dropped a lot in Australia just like elsewhere. I have some formulas that tell me rough figures depending on year end charts rankings, for The Essential it gives:
    2014 - 18,500
    2015 - 19,400
    2016 - 16,400

I haven't check the exact date that saw The Essential be certified in 2014, but even including the full year + 10k+ for 2017, that's still a bit short for a Plat award with 65k sold. Obviously, the 2014 award could have been overdue itself so going 9xP isn't out of question.

Do you think "The Collection", the 5-cd box, is a possible contender for a Gold cert?
It sold 20,253 copies over 8 weeks while charting in the Top 100.
By comparison, "The Motown Years", only sold 13,262 while on the chart, but it is certified Gold.

They use a different panel, that's why.

Michael Jackson, Scream – No. 33 — Michael Jackson scores his 30th charting album and 16th top 40 set with the new compilation Scream. The set, which was released on Oct. 6 through MJJ/Epic/Legacy, debuts with 14,000 units – 11,000 from traditional album sales. The set’s Halloween-inspired tracklist "reflects The King of Pop’s affection for this time of the year," according to a press release from Jackson’s record label, "and its themes of costumes and disguise, darkness and light, character transformations and surprise. It’s the perfect soundtrack for Halloween/October parties." The tunes on the album include familiar hits like the title track (with sister Janet Jackson), “Thriller” and the No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Dirty Diana.” It also features songs by The Jacksons like “Torture” and “This Place Hotel,” as well as Rockwell’s “Somebody’s Watching Me” (which features Jackson’s background vocals).
